Confessions of a volleyball star.October 05 The King Kamaheha Volleyball Classic!!!!!To day I got an invitation from the head coach at Mesa Community College saying that I have been invited to be on the 2008 Team Arizona at the Kamehameha volleyball classic in Honolulu, Hawaii!!!! There is only 10 girls per state invited, and that means that I'm 1 in 10. And they get the names from college coaches's recuiting lists, or from clubs directors saying whos the best. It's scary because someone out there thinks im really good, and possibly wants me to play at college level. So hopefully I can be able to do this, I may have to skip out on camp next summer, becuase if im able to do this I'm going to be gone for 8 days in july. And its really expensive so I hope i can do it.... April 17 ok.ok so i havent been on in a long time. i know. ive been so busy lately. lets see. starting the first weekend of april. well, that saturday i was in pheonix for region championships. that was fun. we won fourth out of like 150 teams. then on sunday i went with my mom and sister to the reniasance fair. that was fun. i had some food and drynk. along with some merriment. if you went you would know what im talking about. ive just been gone alot. in a couple weeks im going with my grandparents to colorado for two or three weeks. i get to meet my cousins and family the ive never met. thtas pretty cool. thats about all i got to say right now.

so is anyone else excited about christmas???? volleyball practiceok so at our last practice we were doing columbus which is like a real game but we dont do our 6-2 rotation we just do a regular easy rotation. and they normally split us in our teams but the other they split us up differently. like i was with the 14-1 team along with a couple other girls on my team. so im wondering if they are going to move me up to the other team. if so that would be great. but that means christina (from my team) would be left on 14-2. so that would suck. well i guess i will see next time at practice if they do that again.... ok so I hope everybody had a great Halloween!!! I know I did! Me and my friends went trick or treating yesterday and we had so much fun!!!! I got soooo much candy I'm afraid I'm going to gat a cavity just from looking at it. Kidding, just kidding, I don't know about the cavity thing but you get the point.
So in a few minutes I have to go to practice and i hope i have fun. Well your pretty much garanteed that you are going to have fun with Emily as a coach.

I'll post when I get back and tell you how it went!!! October 30 VolleyballOk so now volleyball has started and I have practices on Sundays and Wednesdays. It's kinda cool because I have the same coach as last year, The infamous EMILY!!!! Yup, this year is going to be filled with Emily teasing me about getting bloody noses because a certain someone *cough, cough* emily *cough, cough*. Yea so it should be pretty fun. My first tournament will be the first saturday of December, like the 6th or something. I'm not that good with dates as you can clearly see.
Last Wednesday I jammed my finger at practice. Like when I got in the car I looked at it and it was swollen and bruised. Like I jam my fingers all the time but this time was different. So Friday my mom took me to the doctor and she told me to go get x-rays. Theeeen at the x-ray place they didn't believe us that we had insurance because we didn't have our card, my mom had to pay them like a hundred dollars in cash. So once I went in the back the girl took like 5 x-rays and left and then came back and said the pictures didn't come out good, so she took 5 more. She left and then came back 10 minutes later and said the doctor there wanted pictures of each finger. For some odd reason. So she took them and left. The Doctor came in like another 10 minutes later. said i hadn't fractured it or anything. So I guess thats good. But I still have to keep my finger taped up and take motrin for the swelling and pain. So it's been quite a month.
So tomorrow is Halloween and Me, my Sister, Caitlin, and Chris are going trick or treating. I'm going in this Skirt that is black and has polka dots and its long. And its really cute. My Sister is going as a green M&M. And Caitlin is going as Hannah Montana, and Chris is going as a Mercinary (Spelling?)or something like that. I can't quite remember. But it's going to be real fun.

~Happy Halloween!!! I Guess I have to face the music nowWell last night after church the elders decided that they were going to announce about what has happend with my dad. First they started off by saying my dad has decided that he was no longer going to be a Deacon and that he was no longer going to be a Christain. Then they went on saying that my Dad called them and told them that he was no longer happy with his marriage and that he wanted a divorce. and at that moment I couldn't take it any longer I had to leave. And for the rest of the announcement I just sat outside of the auditorium and cried. They also said that my dad had been dismembered and that he was basically no longer welcome.
It's been really hard for me but now I have to face it. Everybody at church knows now.
October 26 Thank you, Thank You,Thank you!!!!I just wanted to thank everbody for all that they have done for me in the past couple of weeks. I have been going through a really hard time and I am so blessed to have such great friends! ie Caitlin, mommy K, brandon, jessica, heather, melody, and of course doug!!!! You guys have been there for me when I haven't been haing the best of days. You help me soooooo much just by letting me vent or my encouraging me. You guys have been so wonderful to me. Because of you I can now actually make it through church without breaking down and crying. Thank you so much!!! I love you guys!!!!!
 KelleyOctober 23 7th Heaven, Grey's Anatomy, and GGOk so two weeks ago CW decided they were going to move 7th heaven to Sunday nights because it was going to be there 'Family Night' thing. So me and my friend Caitlin are so mad at them because we go to church on Sunday nights and we can't watch it. ABC did the same thing to Alias they moved it to Wendsay nights and Alias couldn't compete with Lost so then they moved it to Thursday nights and the show couldn't compete with Survivor and CSI. so they canclled the show because they weren't getting any ratings. And that is what is going to happen with 7th heaven, the show isn't going to be able to compete with Desperate Housewifes. So I'm really mad about that.
And then there's Greys Anatomy. ABC is doing the same thing to that show too. They can't compete with CSI!!! I am so mad about this. I can't watch Grey's because I like to watch csi I've always watched csi. So I guess they lost a watcher because they moved it. I f they just kept it on sunday nights they would they have alot veiwers. But oh well.
And then Gilmore Girls. I'm not quite sure I like the Lorelai Chrisrohper thing going on. I like the Lorelai Luke thing. And then I hate that Rory is going out with Logan. Rory is to good for him. I kinda wish that Rory was still going out with Jess. But yea. That's just me.
KelleyOctober 04 Puppies!!!!ok so four weeks ago today my dog sweetie had puppies!!!! We have four, Bruiser, Buster, Bella, and Buddy!!! We decided after naming buster and buddy we would name them all 'b' names. they are sooooo cute. They started walking last week but they still haven't quite got it down yet. like earlier bruiser was running around and then all of a sudden he does this wierd flip roll kind of thing. it was so funny i was laughing so hard i couldn't breathe. it was that funny. then last night i caught buddy eating out of sweetie's food bowl and he had food in his mouth. and im sure he had eaten way more then i found in his mouth.
KelleyMay 24 CCJ *All Night*Last Sunday My club had Club All night where all hte teams come together and we have our own inter-tournament and the coaches give out awards. so it was pretty fun. I know I had fun seeing everybody from my team again.
When the my coach gave out the award for Outstanding Player my friend was all like your so going to get this, and i was like no i won't get it but then my coach called my name and i was like say that again, did i hear you correct, and yea i got the award. so yea that's like really cool! The Outstanding Player award is a combination of most athletic, most encouraging, most improved, and a whole bunch of other things. So yea I'm just so excited about the whole thing.
There is this one girl on the 181 team that is ranked number 4 recruit in the nation and is in the fall going to the UofA on a athletic scholarship and is going to be on the volleyball team. so that is really cool . She plays middle blocker and is like 6 foot 4 or something.

After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question: "When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?" The audience was stilled by the query. The father continued. "I believe,that when a child like Shay, physically and mentally handicapped comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes, in the way other people treat that child."Then he told the following story: Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked,"Do you think they'll let me play?" Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps. Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked if Shay could play, not expecting much. The boy looked around for guidance and said, "We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning." Shay struggled over to the team's bench put on a team shirt with a broad smile and his Father had a small tear in his eye and warmth in his heart. The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat. At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible 'cause Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball. However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing the other team putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least be able to make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher. The game would now be over, but the pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game. Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the head of the first baseman, out of reach of all team mates. Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, "Shay, run to first! Run to first!" Never in his life had Shay ever ran that far but made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled. Everyone yelled, "Run to second, run to second!" Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to second base. By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball, the smallest guy on their team, who had a chance to be the hero for his team for the first time. He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions and he too intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home. All were screaming, "Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay" Shay reached third base, the opposing shortstop ran to help him and turned him in the direction of third base, and shouted, "Run to third! Shay, run to third" As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams and those watching were on their feet were screaming, "Shay, run home! Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the "grand slam" and won the game for his team. That day, said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world. Shay didn't make it to another summer and died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making his Father so happy and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day! Thats right, you heard it correct, We won third place!!! Isn't it so exciting!
Well the sad part is I sprained my ancle during the last game. And it was during the last five minuets too! So I didn't go to practice sunday afternoon 'cause I could barely walk without limping. But I went to practice tuesday and did fine untill the last part of it when it started hurting so my coach instead of making me run made me do crunches, they are like really easy for me, so wasn't that big of a deal.
so thats it. I'm really excited!!

Kelley March 06 VolleyballYeah!!! My Volleyball team won second place this weekend!!!
We were so good!! we one every single match except for the last one. The
one we lost we were playing for first and we almost had it!!
Volleyball has been such a good experiance for me. I am so glad I tried out.
I have have a awesome coach. (She's on the Arizone Wildcats Volleyball team)
And A great Asst. Coach. And I can't leave out my team!! They have been so awesome!
Before I did Club Cactus, I knew basically nothin about volleyball, I kinda played at the camp I go to,
but other than that I knew nothin. I now play front row, attacker/spiker.
This weekend was also the first time I started. Before I was always just subbed in when the other players
were doing a bad job or something. So I didn't really play much, I just sat on the sidelines, A bench warmer.
I love volleyball, and I hope I can do it next year. We have two more months left untill the season ends.
I hope next year I will beable to be on the same team as the rest of my team.
